^-- Because this cough syrup is screwing with my train of thought.

This was painted as a Christmas present for a friend... I just hope that person doesn't see it before Christmas :hmm: I'm uploading it now cause I'm leaving a week from today..

I used mostly watercolor.. with some acrylic white and red.

It's exellent as usual!! Very interesting the idea of the marionette ropes/frame! I gives a very original looking to all the picture... mixing the reality of the daw with our reality.... (since usually the frame belong to 'our' reality and it isn't a real part of the draw.... oh, it's to difficult to explain in English!!!! Sigh :( )
I also like the background: you turned the influence of the japanese art (usually so detailed) in a very unique and fantstic way!
I also like the absence of the face shapes (nose, mouth...) it suggests in a very strong way that often the person are onl faceless puppet full of banality and conformism!
Does the wolf have any meaning!
it's a great Christmas present!!!
I'm going to take a look also to the other draw you submitted!

Well I was trying to include more than one of my friends interests in the painting.. and she loves wolves and anything japanese.. lol so thats why the wolf is there :) The lack of facial features was inspired by *solle.. I just couldn't see any kind of mouth or nose suiting her and she seemed complete without it.

Wow, that looks really great. I love the faint coloring on her dress and on the land... And the whole style of it is delicious. I think I'd order that if I had any money :shrug:

It looks like it should be an illustration for a fairy tale, there's all sorts of reasons that the wolf is watching the woman :)
